Breaking Barriers in Rare Disease Research

My work in Rare Diseases started in 2008 on an ALS Clinical Program which, after 5 years, unfortunately failed to result in a treatment for patients suffering from this devastating disease. It was during these years that I came to truly appreciate the challenges faced by patients with rare diseases and those that care for them. Seeing the strength that rare disease patients and their care networks demonstrate day after day is both humbling and inspiring.

I am passionate about finding new treatments for rare disease patients and their families.
